We Closed!

We had our closing on Monday and it went great! Although we were there for like 3 hours. lol. Well what happened was, my buyer and I scheduled to go do out walk through at 2 pm and then closing was scheduled at 3.

So I go over to the property and get there by 2 and we do our walk through and everything looks great, the house isn't very big and by 2:10 we were finished. So we didn't really know what to do with our extra time so we just decided to go over to the title company anyway.

So we get there at about 2:30 and we wait in the lobby thinking that we would only be waiting for about half an hour, no big deal right? Well 3:00 rolls around our lender Niki (who is awesome!) gets there for our closing and all of us are waiting in the lobby looking at magizines and what not. People came in and out for there appointments while we were just sitting there.

Finally around 4:30!! they are ready for us, they apologized saying that they weren't finished with the HUD-1 and the closer was backed up in previous closings, so a different lady decided to do out closing. Needless to say I was finally finished with close at around 6:00. So it took about 3-3 1/2 hours. I am so glad that it is over with! But it all went well and now I'm on the the next one! I'll let you know when other crazy stuff comes up!

Finally time to close

I'm very excited about Friday. It is my very first closing and this is a huge accomplishment! Please keep your fingers crossed that everything goes well and we do not have any problems. I'll let you know how it goes!

The Market

I know everyone is freaking out about the market right now but I just want to remind people that the world is not ending. I know mortgage companies made a lot of mistakes in the past but everything happens for a reason and now mortgage companies are being really cautious which is good. It might be a little harder now to get qualified for a loan but those are the people that are fully capable of HAVING a loan. People that don't qualify probably should not have a loan in the first place (sorry for being blunt but it's true). However, it is an awesome time to buy right now if you do qualify, because interest rates are still low and you definitely would want to buy now so you can have lower payments!

So Exciting!!

I'm so excited!! I now have a new addition to my team, and her name is Amanda Fauver. We are going to do a lot of very cool things for example if we can get it ready in time, her neighborhood is having a block party and we are going to put together give baggies and have a door prize maybe. Also, on Halloween which is a Friday we are going to have a children costume contest and also do door prizes then too! I can't wait and everyone is welcome to come!
